Welcome to MN... it's a blazing 27 degrees Farenheit and it's been snowing for about 36 hours straight now.  Doesn't it just sound like a lush tropical paradise up here? Y'all know you wish you were here.

Didn't do too much today... woke up about 1pm, which means I slept right through both of my classes.  Oh well, shit happens.  After that I just sat around on my ass here for a couple of hours, then piled into
the Samurai to go take my 45 Colt out to the range at R&R Arms and see how well it would group at 50 yards.  I first made a short stop at Lake's Sporting Goods to pick up a couple of targets because R&R only sells them in packs, and I don't need a dozen or 50 of them.

Well, I was less than pleased with the performance of my rifle... infuriated is a more appropriate word actually.  At 50 yards I was all over the paper with both loads I tried and even at 25 it's hard to keep it within a 10 inch circle.  The rangemaster shot it and even he couldn't get any better than a 6 inch group with it...  he had an idea of the problem so we did a quick test.  It seems that the break point on my trigger is around 17 pounds, and it should be about 6.  I was so pissed I actually got a trade in price quoted.... I'm seriously thinking about trading it off for a sweet little pump action 22.  As much as I like my 45, that kind of grouping is just completely unacceptable.

Came back after that and been lazy... just sitting here listening to some Nirvana and trying to call home.... I have been unable to reach anyone there for a week now and it's starting to piss me off.

And now for something completely different....

Um, well, maybe not... that's it.
