Damn, it's been too long since I made a journal entry. There really hasn't been hasn't been much going on up here anyway. It's very cold, as per the usual from October to April... yesterday's high temperature was -2, but when you factor in the wind chill it was -11. Speaking of wind chill, I buy into the following theory. They just ought to report the temperature as how it feels outside... so in other words they should just use the heat index and wind chill factors on the weather. It's not like you notice a 1 degree difference... you just say "fuck it's too hot!" in the summer or "fuck it's too cold!" int he winter anyway.
I did read Rath and Storm yesterday though... I'd had the book for a couple of weeks but hadn't started it. So last night I picked it up around 7:30 last night and read all 310 pages... I didn't realize it was 12:30 until I looked at the clock when I was done. It's an excellent read; each chapter is a chunk of the Rath Cycle told from a different character's perspective. I recommend it to anyone who plays magic, it really fills in the gaps and works right into card flavor text.
You may notice the pictures of Vhati-il-Dal on the right. That's because today while I was working on schematics for circuitry down in the CS lab a thought struck my brain. I've decided that I'm gonna dress up as Vhati for Halloween. It's 10 months early and you haven't dressed up in two years you say? Yeah, I realize that too, but Vhati is one of my favorite characters in Magic. I had thought about being him for Halloween before and now I have the length of hair neccesary for it, so that's what I'm gonna do. Vhati rocks, it's unfortunate that he was thrown to his death so soon after he was introduced. Oh well, shit happens I guess... at least he had balls and a cool death.
