March 22, 2003
Well, thus far today has been pretty damn good.  I had intended for this to be a day where I stayed in and did all my homework, but the weather was just too nice to stay in.  Yesterday was 50 degrees out and today topped at 60, which is the warmest it has been up here since last October.  On top of that it was very sunny with nearly no wind.  So, I decided to head out and do some shooting.  I hadn't been out to shoot since November before deer season, plus I hadn't shot the Henry GoldenBoy 22 Mag I got on layway.

After I ate I decided that since it was nice I'd stop out by
Brent's place and get my Samurai started.  It hadn't been started since December... I had attempted to fire it up a couple weeks ago, but the battery was dead.  So today I got it all fired up and a charge back in the battery.  Damn, I really need to get it fixed and back on the road.  I love that little piece of shit like a child... it's just cool as hell in a beater way.

After that I went out and did a bit of shooting at the Wilton gravel pit.  Man, this new Henry rocks... the action is smooth as glass and it's accurate as hell.  I know I'll wind up getting the standard .22 as well;  it is by far the best Lever action rimfire I've ever shot in my life, incuding the Winchester 94/22.  That'll be a long way down the road though.

On the way back into town I was going to get a picture of the pro and anti-war demonstrators that I had passed heading out of town, but they all must have either moved to a different spot or went home.  Both groups had quite a few people and were on opposite sides of the street yelling back and forth at each other... it was comical in a sad sort of way actually.

Well, after this I'm just going to do some homework and laundry so I figure I better finish up... later.
