| Layne Staley is dead... they found him in his place in Seattle on Saturday. OD'd on heroin... suck, but I'm actually suprised he lived this long. He's had a heroin addiction for a long time and when you dance with the devil you usually burn. Still a sad day... all hopes of an Alice in Chains reunion are history now that Layne's dead. Doesn't it suck that cool musicians (especially singers) always wind up getting addicted to shit and either ODing or drinking themselves to death? | Hmm... aside from that, I've just been busier than a motherfucker. I had a final portfolio due for my writing class on Tuesday, and 2 papers due today (Wednesday), and a presentation tomorrow.. Only 3 weeks left in the semester, but it seems like the farther along we get, the more shit we have to do. Oh well, only 3 more weeks till I'm home with the rest of you screwballs. I think I'll be able to make it. Another thing that has been crazy is the weather... yesterday it was sunny and 60 degrees. Today it's windy, snowing, and cold enough to freeze your balls off. I with the weather would just make up it's fucking mind. I really can't wait to get the fuck out of here, because it seems like all of the good shit is happening everywhere but here right now. Matthew's journal entries make me long for home... sounds like the summer is going to be awesome. I'm all signed up for BerettaFest and have been actively participating on the BNet message board lately. It seems that Timmay!!! (a guy from Decatur) dropped a Pontiac 3400 into his Z26 and is now running 15.2. He thinks he can cut his time into the 14s with a good set of tires; he was having trouble getting traction. This is all thanks to a place that opened in Chicago called Street Arsenal... and they sell parts for MY engine. Fuckin-a! I'm ordering a ported polished throttle body as soon as I get home! Over time I'd like to get all the parts they offer so I can pull some decent 1/4 mile times. My dad found the Winchester Model 94 .45 Colt I was wanting and bought it, so I'm going to buy it off of him this summer. That should be sweet as hell! I'm getting quite a little gun collection going. I have 7 right now and that Winchester will make 8 rifles. Hooray for me!!! We are definetly going to have to do some shooting this summer. On another down note... it appears that Jason X isn't going to be playing up here!!!! That pisses me off to no end; I wait 2 years for this fucking movie to be released, then they don't even play it here! I suggest anyone who reads this page go see it... it looks like it's going to be fuckin' awesome! Well... I gotta get some shit done and go to class. |
