April 6, 2003
Well, last week wasn't fun but I've had a fairly good weekend.  I had 3 tests on Friday, plus a lab assignment due Thursday so I was pretty busy during the week.  Friday night I just bummed around... went down to the card shop and bought a few bucks worth of stuff.  Came home and did some decklisting; I'm really looking forward to playing.  I'll be home in 6 weeks, but I'm sure they're gonna go slow as hell just because I want them to be over now.  Time really plays tricks on you like that... it can fly or just creep like a mothefucker.

It finally quit snowing on Saturday morning... it had been going non stop since Tuesday afternoon.  We had quite a bit of snow on the ground, but it warmed up and right now most of it is gone.  Went back to the card shop and bought a few more tidbits that night.  Came home and just bummed some more.... man it's nice not having any homework for a weekend.  I also went to the mall for a while Friday afternoon.  Checked to see if the Monster Magnet CD I ordered was in at FYE, but it wasn't.  They told me to check back on Monday... so then I went down and browsed B.Dalton's (bookstore) for a while before grabbing a burger at Dairy Queen and wasting a bit of time at the arcade. I regained the highest score on the Pac Man machine. Ha, I rule!

Didn't do much of anything today either... the snow it melted, but it's cold and windy so I really didn't feel like going out.  I spend most of today playing GTA (Grand Theft Auto) and Diablo; first time I'd played video games in a long time.  It was great... I'd forgotten how much my Diablo characters kick ass.  Unfortunately my computer doesn't want to run Diablo II correctly anymore... it just fucking locks up; that's a bummer.

Got some business taken care of with the guy doing my intake... I emailed him and asked him what the hell was going on.  I've been waiting for 7 months on the damn thing.  I got a reply back that it's done except for one tap... he's also pricing my gaskets.  His brother works at a GM dealer, so he may be able to get them cheaper than I can.  I'm also looking into getting a FFP billet aluminum dogbone for my car.  I've heard from a couple people who have them and they really like them.  I guess it really helps eliminate engine torquing on launch and shifts, which could shave a tad off my ET.  I WILL (on my fucking own blood) be into the mid 14s by fall!

Ah yes... saw today that Rex got his 92 Beretta GTZ down to 13.5 yesterday.  He's a legend among us BNet guys... he's always had the fastest car.  Right now he's got his turbo quad bumped up to 9psi and that really gave him the kick he needed.  We don't call him the Beretta God for nothing... 13.5 with a street legal 4 banger Beretta is very much an act of some God!  I'm looking forward to seeing it in action this June in Milwaukee.  Nate of the Colorado crew also just got his 3400/5 speed swap done on his 92 GT; that's another one I'll really be looking forward to seeing.  It was a nice car before... fucking spotless inside and out; baby blue too.

Well, I guess that's about all the rambling I'll do for today... later.
