| Well, I had planned on updating sooner but I didnt... so you just had to wait. A few things have happened in the last week, school is starting to wind down. Finals start this week and my last one is in 10 days; I should be home on the 16th or 17th. Oh yes, I do have something that's mildly amusing to report from last week... I'm sure I'll be hearing about this one for a long time to come; it's retarded. Last Thursday I was on my way out to eat, but I encountered a problem... my car was gone from the parking lot. It wasn't just in a different spot, it was GONE. I first checked the entire lot just to make sure I hadn't parked it somewhere other than the usual and forgot, but it was nowhere to be found. My first thought was that perhaps secruity had been stupid and towed it for some reason, so I headed down to security to check. They hadn't towed the car, and suggested that I fill out a report, but only after we drove all over the campus checking for it. Well, it was nowhere to be found so I had to fill out a stolen vehicle report; that's not cool when the vehicle you're using isn't even yours. They then asked any placed I had been recently... the last place I had been was the card shop on Sunday playing magic, but I walked home. Well... turns out I had driven there (I guess) and walked back, they found the car in the lot there. Now that was embarassing as hell, and i still cannot remember driving my car down there. Oh well, I'm just glad it didn't get fucked with or towed in the 5 days it sat in the lot down there. Man, my brain must be burning out with age. I put a new battery in my Samurai on Saturday; the one that was in it went dead over the course of the winter. It was still under warranty though, so I took it back to Wally World to get my free replacement. Of course things couldn't go the easy way, they didn't have the same battery that I had in it, so I had to get a cash refund and buy a different battery which wasn't as good ad the old one. I also picked up some Windex and paper towels.... while I was letting the Samurai run I wiped down the interior of the ghetto cruiser. I actualy took the Samurai for a short drive in 4th grear... man I'd forgotten how much driving with one gear sucks and how rought that thing rides; I really need to fix it. I played in a Magic tournament yesterday (Sunday)... I was fortunate enough to find that one guy and trade for a bunch of shit I needed to make a decent deck first though. I traded him a revised Bayou for 3 Hypnotic Spectres, 4 Hymn to Tourach, 2 Grave Pacts, and a Mind Twist. Those cards were enough to help make a semi-efffective deck, despite not having the speed I really like in a discard. I went 2-2 (that's 2 wins, 2 losses folks) and got 5th place; unfortunately that wasn't enough to win any bonus packs. Figures I miss the pack draw (top 4) by one fucking place... oh well, I shall do much better this fall when I bring a completed deck or two back up for some serious Type-I play. Didn't do a whole lot today, just went to my classes and sold back some books. I got 23.50 back for $90 worth of books, isn't that a bitch? I also did some revising on a paper that I'm turning in tomorrow... actually doing a group presentation on it tomorrow night. I"m not looking forward to that, but it's our last day in the class so I can't really complain. Other that this all I have left is finals, they start Friday and my last one is next Thursday. Dad is coming up next Wednesday, we're packing up Thursday (I plan on having most of my stuff already boxed/bagged and most of it in the car when he gets here), and leaving on either Thursday or Friday so we should be there sometime Friday.
