Spinner's 1977 Olds Delta 88 & 1988 Cavalier RS
Spinner's kind of a lucky bastard, because he got a classic for his first car, even if it was a pathetically underpowered boat of a
classic.  He inherited his grandparent's old car, a 1977 Oldsmobile Delta 88 4 door sedan (aka ghetto cruiser edition). It has
the original Chevy 350 and the T-350 3 speed automatic in it, but it's still slow as hell.  This is because in 1977 emissions
controls were at a peak and the technology was new, so the engine only produces about 175hp.  On the upside the Delta had
basically been in storage for 10 years when he got it, so the body was in near perfect condition.

We actually took this monstrosity to the drag strip in the summer of 2002 and it ran a 1/4 ET of 17.0, which was much better
than either of us expected.  Spinner had been thinking of hotrodding up 350 and making this thing a sleeper, but he's since
abandoned the project and started building a 1978 Chevy Camaro.   I haven't seen this car out in a couple of years now, but you
never know, it could roll the streets as a sleeper eventually.

1988 Chevy Cavalier RS
Spinner bought his older brother Bob's 1988 Chevy Cavalier RS (Rally Sport) back in 2001 as a transportation vehicle to get
him to and from KCC. Suprisingly this thing was in spectacular shape when he got it. The body was solid, it had low miles,
and the interior was in immaculate shape.

The weak point in this thing was the driveline. It came with the economically minded 2.0L 4 cylinder, which puts out less than
100hp. This car was an absolute dog... every time I rode in it, I felt as if I needed to get out and push to help it accelerate.  I
think we got outran by a turtle one time, but I could be wrong.

He traded this thing off on the 2004 Cavalier RS he has now.  It was good timing on his part, since the body was starting to get
some rust and the engine was losing oil from some undetermined spot.
