Teardown of the 350 for my Beretta
Well, another of the preliminary steps to the rebirth of my Beretta is finished.  I thought I did pretty well with this strip, I used all
hand tools and still managed to get this small block (my first complete teardown of an engine) done in a couple of afternoons.

The real miracle though was the fact that this thing was even still running.  The heads were warped, one pushrod was broken
(not bent, snapped), there were chunks of carbon crust in the combustion chambers, corroded spark plugs, a timing chain
loose enough to pull from the sprockets with your fingers, cracked timing sprockets, and trashed cam bearings.  I was also
disappointed to find that this was a 2 bolt 350, not a 4 bolt like we thought, but it shouldn't be an issue since I'm not building it
all that hot anyway.

Here's some pics I shot throughout the process.
Oilpan dropped, one head, accessories, and starter removed
Crank and rods
Both heads and the intake gone
Hammered timing chain and sprockets
Broken and bent pushrods
Bad combustion chambers and valves
All the old guts
Stripped down block ready to clean and rebuild
