1976 GMC 25 (Purple)
This page is all about the truck commonly known as Purple. It has been through the hands of several people I know including
Billy, Bryan, Craig, and finally William.

Bryan bought this truck off of
Billy (who was the first person I remember owning it) way back in 2002. It's a 78 GMC 3/4 ton long
bed.   At the time it had a 2" block lift lift and has Wild Country Radial RVT 31X10.5R 16 mud terrain tires on it. Those tires are
quite easily turned over and smoked by a Jasper crate built small block 400 that had a set of Flowtech headers and an
unknown amount of internal modifications. The headers ran  right back into dual 2.25" pipes that sported short glasspacks.

Ok,  the story of this thing is damn near an epic, so I'll just give the short version of it.
Bryan got it from Billy, who traded it to
Craig for an orange truck. Then Craig broke the front axle and William bought it from him cheaply. I pulled it to Jason's garage
with
my Samurai and we pulled it all apart.   William, Nathan, and Spinner fixed the axles as well as a few other minor
problems it had. Then William had a wheel fly off and smashed the shit out of the body because Spinner put an axle race in
backwards so it spent a lot of time at his grandparent's shed (somewhere to the tune of a year).

William rebuilt both axles and also dropped in 4.56 gears and lockers while he was at it.  He also added a 4 inch lift and a CB
rig while he was working on the axles. Soon after he had to rebuild the 3 speed automatic (t-350).

In the summer of 2005 William completely
swapped out the driveline of this into his 86 K5 Blazer, and stuck a warmed up 350
into Purple in return.  So now it is a 1/2 ton truck with a 350, a 4 speed automatic, and a 4 inch block lift.
