Not long after I got the Samurai off him, Jason bought this old shit brown 1978 Chevy stepside off of his neighbor Chris. It didn't have an engine or trans in it, but Jason got a t-350 trans from Chris for a few extra bucks. Jason bought an old van to get the a 4 bolt main 350 block out of so he could trade it in on a finished short block at Mike's Engine and Machine Shop over in Indiana. Man, I was only there for the tail end of that mess of an engine pull, but I can tell you getting it out was no picnic. Jason, William, Hollywood (Jason's stepdad), myself, and a couple more people that I can't remember of the top of my head (probably Nathan, and Matthew) were there when they pulled it. The process involved trans removal, unbolting, cutting the front end out of the van, and then me pushing on the block from inside with my feet while they lifted and pulled from the front. It wasn't fun, but it did get Jason a nice new completely rebuilt longblock from Mike's.
After that Jason picked and chose some finishers to top the new bad boy 350 off for it; intake, heads, headers, carb, and cam from Summit. Anyway, the combination of parts was good, and this motherfucker will rip! He's also put a 6 inch lift with under it and some 32X11.50 tires on it too, but it could still use gears, lockers, and more tire, which are all in the works at present.
