Matthew's 87 Ford F-250 4X4
Well, one day way back in 2002 when Matthew and myself were on our way home from Kankakee we stopped to look at this
truck outside of Martinton.  Matthew had mentioned something about it earlier if I remember, and pointed it out to me on the way
up there.  As we were having a look at the truck the guy came out and told us a little bit about it. Matthew was quite interested
and bought it about a week later. Unfortunatley it spent a period in limbo at his house since guy (read total fucking moron) he
bought it off of never actually had the truck in his name.  It was in the name of some dead guy, so getting the paperwork straight
for it was a clusterfucked nightmare that resulted in the truck not moving for a few months.

Well, on to the truck... it's a 3/4 ton 4X4 with a 460 that feeds itself from two 20 gallon tanks.  Believe me(or ask Matthew if you
don't) it doesn't take long drain them. It's pretty much stock except except for having an aftermarket exhaust system.
Spinner
and Matthew installed a tach in it not long after he got it since it didn't have one in the instrument panel. Matthew also put quite
a bit of cash into a rather fancy CB rig in it now too, as well as a roll bar in the bed with 4 KC Day-liters mounted to it.  For those
of you not familiar with off road lighting, that is is basically equivalent of having the sun on a toggle switch.

Aside from a few problems with the transmission I don't think Matthew has had too many problems with this truck, but he
doesn't really drive it often either so I could be mistaken.  I do know for sure that he needs some lower gears in it... I do believe
that by Nathan's calculations it was somewhere in the high 2s, which is horrible for a 4x4 truck, especially one you want to play
in the mud with.  No low end wheel spinning power when you're geared that high, and the engine actually has to work harder to
roll down the highway when they're that stretched out too.  Oh well, I don't suppose they'll get changed soon but it's not my truck
so I guess I don't have to worry about it.
Just after he bought it (2002)
