Type II  Bemidji,MN  / October 12, 2003
Well, I reused that Type-II peasant that I built last week.  It's a green stompie elf deck; it does well early, but has problems finishing games, and against removal.

There were 10 people in the tournament.  We played a 4 round tournament, and then the top 4 played another two rounds to determine a winner.

I didn't do so well, but I guess it could have gone worse.

1st round : I played against a black/blue Psychatog deck that had heavy bounce and removal.  I lost in two... had one close game, but he bounced on my killing attack and took control after that.  He came back from a 28-5 life defecit to beat me.   0-1 round  / 0-2 total record.

2nd round: Played against a mono red speed goblin. Game 1 was close, but I lost.  Game 2 I had an incredible draw (defiant elf and 2 alpha status.)  Went on to win that game perfect 20-0, killing him in one turn.  I got fucked for creatures and got oblitereated in game 3.  I was quite displeased with my results at this points.  0-2 round / 1-4 total record.

3rd round: Played against a red/white control deck.  He Wrathed, I died...   I just couldn't compete with his defensive capabilities.  Lost in 2 without putting up much of a fight.  0-3 round / 1-6 total.

4th round: Played a White weenie/life gainer.  He had removal, but couldn't get enough to beat me.  I obliterated him in game 1 thanks to my Treetop scouts.  Game 2 went badly, he Wrathed and I couldn't recover.  I went on to lose that one badly.  Game 3 was long and drawn out, but he couldn't draw into removal and my Wellwishers wwre nullifying the damage of his fliers.  I then got a taunting and an alpha status with 6 creatures on the board.   It was over then... I slowly beat him down from 43 life to take the match.  1-3 round / 3-7 total record.

So for the day I went 3-7 and only won a single round.  I really hate Type-II... I am going to burn this deck once it's no longer legal.

A red/white cycler with Lightning Rift and fliers went on to win over the speed goblins I lost to in round 2.

End of tournament analysis.
