Greetings to anyone unfortunate enough to have stumbled onto my site. I'm Zach, and I've webmastered this site since I first
started it in 1998.
I guess I've made this page just to say a bit about myself. I was born in northern Minnesota in September of 1982 and lived
there until 1991. I spent early 1991 to late 1994 living near Elko, Nevada before finally settling to where I live now (eastern
Illinois) in October of 1994.
I graduated from our local public high school as the salutatorian of a class of 13 (yeah, I live in the sticks and I wouldn't have it
any other way) in May of 2001. Shortly thereafter the school actually closed, so I was one of the last to graduated from it.
I attended Bemidji State University as a Political Science major with Computer Science and History minors from the fall
semester of 2001 until I graduated with honors in the spring of 2006. I began work in an aluminum extrusion factory in Indiana,
about 6 miles from where I live in June of 2006, and as of right now (December 2009) I'm still employed there (although I've
been laid off twice). It's a bit ironic actually; about a quarter of my friends either work there, or have worked there in the past.
Anyway, there's really not a whole lot I can think of about myself that you can't find just by reading my journal or the other sections
of my site. I started this site back in 1998 when I was still in high school not really knowing what I was doing, and for the first few
years of its existence there wasn't much here aside from the page about William's dirt bike and the bands page, as well as a
couple I've since taken off of here because they're no longer relevant. What it really did was just serve as a daily time killer while
I was in college, as well as an outlet for ranting about whatever I felt at the time. Now that I'm out in the real world and busy more
often I really haven't been updating the site all that much anymore. However, I do plan on keeping it at least semi-regularly
updated in the foreseeable future.
Well, now you at least know a bit about me and that's all I set out to do with this page. You can see some pictures of myself and
how I've changed over the years below.
